Our Leadership Team

The members of the Rewards Network senior leadership team continue the tradition of helping businesses increase their revenue, bringing years of experience in sales and investment strategy, multi-media, and technology to the table.


Edmond Eger III

Chief Executive Officer

Ed joined Rewards Network as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors in 2017, having previously served as CEO of OANDA Corporation, a recognized global leader in fx trading, fx information and insights, and corporate solutions for cross-border payments. In his role at Rewards Network, Ed draws on his extensive experience in e-commerce, financial technology, leadership management, global branding, and risk management.

Ed previously worked at PayPal as the SVP and General Manager of the Americas. In this role, he was responsible for establishing PayPal as the preferred online payment method for consumers and merchants for PayPal’s largest business unit, which covered North and South America. Ed’s prior experiences include business management positions within Citigroup, Standard Chartered Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and McKinsey & Company.

Ed, a native of San Francisco, is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Claremont McKenna College, where he graduated magna cum laude in economics and mathematics. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the board of Manhattan Associates (MANH), a provider of market leading technologies for supply chain and omni-channel commerce; he served on the board of Digital River (DRIV), an e-commerce platform provider, until it was sold in 2015. He has been active on several non-profit boards, including City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley.


Dan Kazan


Dan Kazan is the President of Rewards Network, and a member of the Rewards Network Inc. Board of Directors, responsible for setting the company’s strategy to drive growth and leading the day-to-day operations.

Dan previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Tribune Media Services (TMS). TMS is a global leader in providing entertainment-related metadata to many of the world’s leading media, technology, and digital companies. Dan also served as Tribune Company’s Senior Vice President, Investments, responsible for leading the company’s acquisition, disposition, and strategic investment activity.

Dan has served on the boards of directors of several digital media and marketing services companies, including CareerBuilder, Classified Ventures, and Legacy.com.

Dan is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  


Alice Geene

Chief Legal Officer

Alice Geene joined Rewards Network as Chief Legal Officer in April 2014. She is responsible for the company’s legal matters, as well as its internal audit and corporate information security functions.

Alice is a veteran technology company general counsel, having served as general counsel at two Chicago-based technology companies. As General Counsel & Secretary at Trustwave Holdings, Inc., a privately held cyber-security and compliance solutions company, Alice closed two acquisitions in her first year. In nearly 8 years, including a year as Group Vice President & Interim General Counsel at Orbitz Worldwide, Inc., a publicly traded online travel distribution company, Alice structured and negotiated many of Orbitz’s key commercial partnerships. Alice has also held senior legal roles in three other global technology organizations: Schrodinger, Inc.; Register.com, Inc.; and Juno Online Services, Inc.

Alice holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Harvard College and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. She is on the Board of Directors of Friends of Prentice, the principal fundraising organization for Prentice Women’s Hospital, part of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.


Shane Kern

Chief Financial Officer

Shane Kern is the Chief Financial Officer of Rewards Network. He leads all accounting and financial aspects of the business.

Shane joined Rewards Network as its Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to joining Rewards Network, Shane worked for Flint Group, Alper Holdings and Arthur Andersen in several financial roles, including financial planning & analysis, as well as acquisition evaluation and integration. He holds a B.S. in Finance with supporting coursework in accounting from the University of Illinois.


Hunt Kingsbury

Vice-President, Corporate Development

Hunt Kingsbury is Vice-President of Corporate Development, responsible for new business development and management of strategic commercial partnerships within the payments and card-linked offers industry.

Hunt was previously Director of Digital and Mobile Distribution Strategy at Gannett Digital Marketing Services (the digital marketing division of Gannett, the largest publisher in the United States), Director of Digital Strategy and Business Development at Time Warner Inc., and Vice President/General Manager for the Interactive Media Division of the Chicago Sun-Times. Hunt also held a variety of management positions at AT&T and has an extensive background in the telecom industry.

Hunt has an M.B.A. from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Christian University.


John Leen

Chief Sales Officer

John Leen is Chief Sales Officer and is responsible for leading Rewards Network’s national sales organization and all aspects of sales strategy, revenue management, client acquisition and retention, and sales capability in support of the restaurant community.

John brings extensive sales leadership experience growing profitable revenue, expanding market share, fostering successful customer partnerships, and improving sales effectiveness. Prior to Rewards Network, John spent 29 years at Pepsi on both the manufacturer and distributor side of the business, where he held several leadership roles of increasing responsibilities over the years managing a $5 billion, multi-channel beverage business. John brings strong proficiency in sales strategy, rigorous annual planning, disciplined execution, and solutions selling to national, strategic regional, and local accounts. Achievements include the Wal-Mart National DSD Vendor of the Year award and other strategic customer recognition. Earlier in his career, John held various sales management positions at Johnson & Johnson, Inc. in their consumer products division.

John graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Boston College.


Cheryl Parsons

Vice-President, Marketing

Cheryl Parsons is Vice-President of Marketing for Rewards Network, responsible for strategy, development, and implementation of all marketing programs impacting new member enrollment, member engagement, and client acquisition and retention.

Cheryl has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, having directed marketing initiatives, operations, and concept design for businesses large and small. During the span of her leadership at Aramark, Matthews Brands, Outboard Marine, ExxonMobil, and Rewards Network today, she has worked intimately with brands on new product innovations, brand extensions, and credit card and payment technology to boost profitability, increase product sales, and drive multiple channel growth.

Cheryl has a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Sciences and Marketing from Miami University.


Chris Razniewski

Director, Human Resources

Chris Razniewski is Director of Human Resources, responsible for HR & Talent leading a team that manages recruitment strategy and corporate culture for over 350 employees.

Prior to Rewards Network, Chris led the HR team at the Los Angeles Times and also served on Tribune Company’s Corporate Human Resource team. In those roles he worked on many initiatives, such as implementing HCM systems Workday & SuccessFactors. He also participated on project teams responsible for preparing the Tribune Publishing business to spin-off from the parent company. He also has similar HR experience at companies like U.S. Cellular and Careerbuilder under his belt.

Chris has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University.


Jeanne Steinback

Vice-President, Software Delivery

Jeanne Steinback is Vice-President of Software Delivery at Rewards Network, and was instrumental in converting the company’s software development process over to Agile in 2014.

With 17 years of experience building and managing lean, highly efficient software development teams, Jeanne’s focus is on constant improvement and speed to market through process engineering and automation. During her six-year tenure at Redbox, Jeanne managed her development teams through the apex of Redbox’s very rapid growth, changes in ownership, and served on the Senior Leadership Team. Prior to that, Jeanne worked at Nightingale-Conant Publishing for eight years.

Jeanne employs a collaborative, team-centric management style with an entrepreneurial mind set, forming new Agile teams and converting existing teams to more efficient methodologies including Continuous Delivery, Agile (Kanban, Scrum, XP), and Lean processes.


Mike Tegtmeyer

Director, Information Systems

Mike Tegtmeyer is Director of Information Systems, responsible for enterprise IT Infrastructure, AS/400 operations, and end user support for all Rewards Network employees.

With over 25 years of experience in information technology, Mike has served as Director of Network Operations for FTD, consolidating three global NOC groups for a $1.2B eCommerce company; Director of Enterprise IT Infrastructure for Sparton Corporation, integrating 7 acquisitions over a 12 month period into the Sparton network and IT polices/procedures; and Director of Enterprise Network Services and Telecom for Brunswick, responsible for the WAN, LAN, Network Security, and Telecom teams that manage over 200 locations globally.

Mike has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago.
