Rewards Network Is Poised for Exponential Growth

March 27, 2019 By Rewards Network | Press releases

Press Release Rewards Network Poised for Exponential Growth hero

Rewards Network, a leading fintech company providing capital, marketing, and loyalty rewards for the restaurant industry, has named Ed Lang as the latest addition to its executive team.

In the newly created role of Vice President, corporate development, Ed will be creating and implementing strategic initiatives to drive new business. He will join the company’s senior leadership team, and will jointly report to Ed Eger, CEO of Rewards Network, and Shane Kern, CFO.

“I am pleased to welcome Ed to our executive team and look forward to working with him to drive new business efforts,” said Ed Eger. “He will be focused on scaling Rewards Network through strategic acquisition and other inorganic partnership opportunities. His experience will add great value for our restaurants, who are always looking for more guests, and for our members, who seek multiple options for dining and earning rewards.”

Lang’s significant experience in corporate and business development spans the travel, mobility, ecommerce, and technology industries. He most recently served as head of business development for Zipcar. Prior to that, he led corporate and business development at TripAdvisor, where he successfully acquired, invested in, and partnered with over 25 companies.

“I am extremely excited to be joining the Rewards Network team,” said Ed Lang. “The company has a strong position in the industry and an impressive track record. This is the perfect moment to complement organic growth and the product roadmap with acquisitions and partnerships.”

Since being acquired by TowerBrook Capital Partners in October 2017, Rewards Network has built on its long-standing position as the leading provider of local restaurant loyalty and financing solutions to expand its offerings to a wider network of consumers and merchants.

Lang joins Rewards Network’s other recent leadership hires: Steve Fusco as President, Andrei Utkin as Chief Marketing Officer, Kevin Dulsky as Senior Vice President, business development and partnerships, James Roedding as Vice President, data and product. Steve, Andrei, Kevin, and James bring a wealth of experience in scaling technology-enabled consumer and business services from prior senior positions at Citi, PayPal, Capital One, Lyft, and McKinsey.
